My story
We'll never understand how a pup like Milo finds himself at a local rural shelter only hours away from being euthanized. Unfortunately perfect family dogs, like Milo, find themselves in this situation far too often and only a lucky few get a second chance. Milo is one of the elite few that survived but that is only thanks to a shelter staff member that recognized what a loss it would be if this friendly, loving and extremely adoptable pup was euthanized at barely 1 year old. So they took the extra step and contacted a WAR foster they knew and she drove to the shelter immediately and saved sweet Milo. He had clearly been neglected and was not only severely under weight and malnourished but had also suffered trauma to his left eye that resulted in permanent blindness in that eye. He's pretty good at disguising it though because it took his fosters a while to even suspect he might have some vision loss. But don't feel sorry for Milo, on the contrary, this sweet boy has chosen to let bygones be bygones and has moved on from his rough start. He loves everyone he meets, human or canine, and is literally the definition of family dog. He loves to be outdoors with his people, gives awesome hugs, knows basic commands and is fully house and crate trained. If you are interested in Milo please contact Wilson Animal Rescue today.
