Winston Churchill, like his human namesake, is one of the greatest of all time! This 18 month old, endlessly adorable and affectionate American bulldog will go down in Woof River history as a pack favorite. Winston Churchill, (better known as WC) loves every human and dog he meets. He shares his foster home with three doggy friends. Odin is a Woof River alumni, bullmastiff mix, and WCs best pal! He also loves his Great Dane and mini schnauzer roommates. He can often be found snuggling with his pup friends. He also enjoys romping in the back yard, watching his foster mom cook dinner, and an occasional dip in the swimming pool.
Winston is a friendly, happy guy who can go with the flow. He is big buddies with his adult, autistic human foster brother. He is a great car passenger: thrilled to go anywhere and rides calmly. He is a big handsome 80+ lb boy, but is kind as a lamb. WC knows not to potty in the house and also has no problem hanging out in his crate when his foster parents are away from home. He is the perfect pup package. If you love smooshy faces, cuddles, and goofy cuteness Winston Churchill will steal your heart forever!
Winston Churchill is neutered, micochipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including the 1st round of the H3N2/H3N8 canine influenza vaccine.
He doesn't live with kitties currently, but we are happy to do cat introductions for an approved applicant. We think he will be just fine.
His $470 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and cost of transport to the Midwest area after he is adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
